In coordination with the Dumingag Culture Office & Dumingag Tourism Office, a beautiful showcase of identity and sacred custom unfolded at Barangay La Fortuna during a traditional Subanen wedding (Kamal Blae).

Beyond a celebration of union, the ceremony serves as a powerful reminder of the rich cultural tapestry that defines our community's living heritage.

A major milestone for local agricultural development and indigenous empowerment was achieved on August 4, 2026, in Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur, with the official Turnover Ceremony for the Corn Production, Consolidation, and Marketing Enterprise subproject. Valued at PHP 3,744,667 under Project ID MIADP-EN-R009-ZDS-AD-DUM-MI-0004, this initiative officially hands over essential production and marketing resources to the IPO Peksalabuken Subanen Dumingag Association. By streamlining local corn processing, consolidating harvests, and broadening market reach, the project aims to build sustainable livelihoods and foster long-term economic growth for the Subanen community.

On July 30, 2026, the municipality of Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur, gathered our esteemed Muslim brothers and sisters from Dumingag and Molave for a sacred Quran Reading Competition.

This event celebrated not only the beauty of divine recitations but also strengthened the bonds of brotherhood, peace, and cultural harmony between our neighboring communities.
