Psalm 130:3-4 says, "If You, O Lord, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand? But with You is forgiveness, that You may be revered."

These words cut deep into our souls, don't they? If God were to keep track of all our mistakes, who among us could stand before Him without feeling utterly unworthy? It's a stark reminder of our humanity—we all stumble, we all fall. Yet, in this vulnerability, we find a profound truth: we are not defined by our failures, but by God's mercy.

But here's the beautiful part: God offers us forgiveness, not just to wipe the slate clean, but to transform us. His mercy shines brightest in our darkest moments, reminding us that we are loved not for who we are, but for who He is. This forgiveness is a call to reverence, to honor His love by living a life that reflects it. It's a reminder that our worth is not in our perfection, but in His perfect love for us.

When was the last time you’ve experienced the freeing power of God's forgiveness?

"Lord, on the day I called for help, You answered me."
📖 Psalm 138:3

Today’s readings remind us of the power of prayer. What struck me most is how, despite her desperate situation, Queen Esther prayed with unshakable faith—so much so that she could already see the good things she asked for, even before they happened. This is the power of prayer: believing that God hears us and trusting that He answers in the best way.

God knows our hearts so deeply that before we even utter a word, He already knows our needs. And because He is merciful, He gives not only what we ask for but also what is truly good for us—even when we don’t deserve it. So no matter what hardships, pain, or struggles we face, let’s hold on to hope. Everything is temporary, but God's goodness is eternal.

I may not be rich. I may be going through difficulties. I may be hurting. But I smile a lot and will continue to have a happy disposition. I will never let those pains limit my hope for good things to come - because I have a generous God who answers prayers in ways beyond what I could ever imagine.

🙏 What is something you have prayed for, and how did God answer in His own way?

No sacrifice pleases God more than a heart that truly seeks Him. But how often do we let guilt and shame push us away? We fall into sin, feel unworthy, and try to hide. Yet, running from God only deepens our wounds. Healing begins when we come to Him in humility, asking for a pure heart. His mercy never runs out.

Let this be our prayer today: "Lord, cleanse my heart and make it new."

🙏 How has God’s mercy lifted you in your lowest moments?

“Just as from the heavens
the rain and snow come down
And do not return there
till they have watered the earth,
making it fertile and fruitful,
Giving seed to the one who sows
and bread to the one who eats,
So shall my word be
that goes forth from my mouth;
It shall not return to me void,
but shall do my will,
achieving the end for which I sent it."
Isaiah 55:10-11

These verses beautifully describe how God's Word moves — gentle yet powerful, like rain that nurtures the earth. The water cycle — how rain falls, nourishes the ground, and brings forth life — mirrors the way God's Word works within us. It refreshes weary hearts, strengthens faith, and inspires us to do good.

I love these verses because they reveal how God's Word is constantly at work, even when we don't see it. Just as rain quietly prepares the earth to bloom, God's Word quietly transforms our lives. It brings comfort in sorrow, courage in fear, and hope in despair.

God’s Word is here every day, every hour, every second — shaping us, strengthening us, and drawing us back to Him. We live by His Word, and in every word, there is life. Let us welcome His Word like rain, trusting that it will fulfill His perfect plan in us.

"Be Holy, for I, the Lord, your God, am Holy." — Leviticus 19:2

LENT 2025 6/40

This powerful verse reminds us that holiness is not beyond our reach. God Himself calls us to be holy — not by our own strength, but through His mercy and grace. Holiness is found in choosing what is right: avoiding dishonesty, slander, judgment, and hatred, while actively doing good — feeding the hungry, welcoming strangers, and caring for the sick.

Despite our weaknesses and sins, this verse gives us hope. God’s call to holiness shows that He believes we can be cleansed and renewed. And we can start small — in little ways, through baby steps. A kind word, a helping hand, or a forgiving heart can be the first steps toward holiness.

What do you think? How can you take a small step toward holiness today?

Temptation is a struggle we all face, yet Jesus shows us how to overcome it. During His time in the desert, Jesus Himself was tempted — not for His own sake, but to teach us how to resist. Each time the devil tempted Him, Jesus responded not with argument, but with the power of God's Word.

This is our greatest lesson: we should never engage in conversation with the enemy. Instead, we must cling to Scripture — God’s truth — as our shield and strength. By filling our hearts and minds with His Word, we equip ourselves to stand firm against temptation, trusting that God’s presence will sustain us in every trial.

Let us always pray, "In whatever I say, let this be You speaking in me, Lord — not me."

When trouble comes, who do you call? What are the first words you utter?

"Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners." — Luke 5:31-32

LENT2025 4/40

Jesus' words remind us that His love and mercy are especially for those who are hurting, lost, or burdened by sin. He does not turn away from our weaknesses; instead, He draws closer, like a caring physician who tends to the sick. No matter how broken or unworthy we may feel, Jesus invites us to come to Him — not with perfect lives, but with open hearts seeking His healing and forgiveness.

But God's ways of healing are not always what we expect or prefer. Just as doctors sometimes prescribe bitter medicine or painful treatments for our recovery, the Lord’s healing may also come through difficult and uncomfortable experiences. Yet, we must trust that His ways are always for our good, and true healing happens when we surrender to His process with faith.

If you’ve ever felt unworthy or distant from God, remember this: Jesus came for you. He sees your struggles, knows your pain, and longs to restore you. All He asks is that you take the first step — to trust Him and allow His mercy to heal your heart. ❤️

"A Heart Contrite and Humbled, O God, You Will Not Spurn" — Psalm 51:17
LENT2025 3/40

God does not seek perfection—He seeks sincerity. A heart that is truly sorry, humbled before Him, is never rejected. No matter how broken we feel or how far we’ve strayed, His mercy is always greater. He never turns away from those who come to Him with genuine repentance.

This verse comes alive in me every day because, despite my desire to avoid sin, I stumble—sometimes in the smallest ways, sometimes in bigger ones. Yet, even in my failures, I find hope. In His divine providence, God never gives up on me. He welcomes me back, offering His endless mercy each time I seek Him with a contrite heart.

Have you ever felt unworthy of God’s love? Know that He never turns away from those who seek Him with sincerity.💙

Suffering is a part of life that no one can escape. Rich or poor, righteous or not, we all face pain, especially in our final moments. Watching my Nanay suffer in her last days was heartbreaking. I knew she was hurting, and I felt that pain too. But what kept me strong was the hope that beyond this suffering, God was waiting to welcome her with open arms. The greatest lesson I’ve learned from Nanay is this: Suffering is Sweet—not because pain is easy, but because when embraced with love and faith, it leads us closer to God.

Nanay never ran from suffering; she carried her cross joyfully for us and for the Lord. She showed us that suffering, when offered in love, is not meaningless—it becomes a path to eternal life. As she left this world, our greatest comfort was knowing she had found her place beside God.

Have you ever watched a loved one suffer in their final moments? How did you handle the pain? Was there a Bible verse or promise that gave you strength? Share your thoughts, and let’s find comfort in God’s word together. 💙

"Rend your hearts, not your garments, and return to the Lord your God." — Joel 2:13
LENT2025 1/40

True repentance is not about outward displays but a sincere transformation of the heart. God desires not just rituals but a deep, personal return to Him. Let us open our hearts fully, seek His mercy, and allow His love to renew and heal us.

Living with simplicity and humility helps us stay close to God. When we let go of pride and worldly excess, we make room for His grace to work in us. A humble heart is more open to repentance, transformation, and genuine service to others.
