The Municipality of Gattaran has successfully concluded its 𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑴𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑, marking a major milestone in safeguarding our rich history, vibrant traditions, and local identity.

This immersive activity was an eye-opener for our community, underscoring the vital importance of identifying, documenting, and protecting Gattaran’s cultural treasures for generations to come. As part of the hands-on mapping process, our local mappers took to the field to document key historical and cultural landmarks across our town.

Newly crowned 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉 2026, 𝑹𝒊𝒏𝒂 𝑨𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒔 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒔, recently joined hands with the community for an impactful Outreach Program and Medical Mission at 𝑩𝒓𝒈𝒚. 𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒖𝒓, 𝑮𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏, 𝑪𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏.

History unearthed and successfully shared right where it all began! 🏺✨

​We are thrilled to look back on the highly successful excavation and exhibit held at the historic Nassiping Church Ruins in Nassiping.

This sacred and historic site served as the perfect backdrop for showcasing the incredible artifacts, ancient ceramics, and human skeletal remains recovered by the brilliant team from the UP School of Archaeology, led by Prof. Grace Barretto-Tesoro, PhD.

​This milestone wouldn't have been possible without an incredible community of support. We extend our deepest gratitude to:

​The Archdiocese of Tuguegarao – Thank you for your immense trust and generosity in allowing this crucial excavation to take place on church grounds.
