The United Philippine Surfing Association is the sole recognized National Sports Association (NSA) for the development and promotion of surfing, granted by the Philippine Sports Commission through R.A. 6847.

The Pilipinas Surfing National Tour is the country's premiere professional surfing championship, sanctioned through Local Government Units (LGUs) as the sole national competition series across the country. This tour determines national rankings, from which the Philippine National Team is selected.
