This is not a surf camp.
No hotel room. No smoothie bowl. No DJ set at sunset.

This is what 7 days with us actually looks like:

Unpredictable island weather: could be sunny. Could be rainy. The same spot can look very different from one day to the other.

We chase light, not the clock. We organise surf and activities depending on the ocean, there is no weekly pre-organised social calendar.

Wipeouts are included in the package. You need to eventually have fun getting washed :)

Lineup rule #1 is NO EGO, no pressure here : we share and we celebrate everyone's wins!

We don't have AC. We don't have a shop. We have a bucket, a bangka, and more empty waves than we can surf.

That's why it stays real.

Everybody is posting their wins on social media. Here are our flops.

Since we started IHU on a tiny island in the Philippines:

1. Taking a first-timer out on a reef break
2. Forgetting to explain how the bucket toilet works
3. Wrong boat + low tide = everyone in the mud
4. Only fish for a vegetarian
5. Guest who wanted to leave on day 2 because of geckos
6. Trying to do everything ourselves and burning out
7. Only surf, no real connection with the village
8. Bringing school supplies to "help" without understanding the bigger picture

We think it's ok to make mistakes, as long as you keep your ears open, learn and grow from them.

We learned good intentions are not enough. Actions need to follow.

So today... we check tides, we're brutally honest about comfort, we ask about diets, the village team is part of IHU and leads activities with us, we take intermediate surfers only, we do a real house tour, and our Rainy Season Fund is decided by the island, not by us.

Still raw. Still remote. But way more thought through.

We don't promise comfort.
We don't fill your days to entertain you.
We don't stage anything.

So what's left?

Time. Space. Ocean. People as they are. That's it.

If you need a resort, infinity pool, and a packed schedule : this is probably not for you.

But if you want uncrowded waves, a remote island where you live like a local and surf twice a day.. Then you're our people.

Small groups only. No mass tourism. No fluff. Just a small fisherman's village in the Philippines

Facts about what we're building. Because Instagram makes us look bigger than we are.

90% of our guests never planned to go to Philippines. They wanted uncrowded waves, ended up loving village life.

17 nationalities so far. We don't care where you're from, we care how you show up.

Only 5 expeditions run so far. We post a lot but we moved slow. Testing what feels right for the island.

Every expedition runs thanks to a local team and at the pace set by the community leaders.

We will never be a big camp. 10 people max.

If you have an open heart and want to support something tiny - welcome. If you want luxury and comfort, this is not for you.
