💜 THE BEAUTIFUL FLOWER THAT’S ACTUALLY A PROBLEM… 🇳🇿

You’ve probably seen them all over travel photos and videos — fields of purple, pink and blue lupins blooming beside turquoise lakes, dramatic mountains and dreamy New Zealand landscapes. ✨

They’re especially famous around Lake Tekapo and the Mackenzie Basin, and honestly… it’s easy to see why they’ve become such an iconic part of New Zealand travel photography. 📸💜

But here’s the surprising part…

🌱 Lupins aren’t actually native to New Zealand.
They were introduced and have since spread throughout parts of the South Island.

And while they make the scenery look absolutely magical, they’re considered an invasive species because they can spread aggressively and compete with native plants.

So yes — the flowers that make those New Zealand travel photos look like a fairytale are also considered an environmental problem. 😮

🌸 And lupin season is coming again soon!
