FRIENDLY REMINDER TO ALL TRAVELERS:
Next to security, you’ll almost always spot large bins overflowing with confiscated power banks. It’s a painful sight, but it happens every single day!
Why are so many power banks getting tossed?
❌ 1. Packed in Checked Luggage
Lithium-ion batteries carry a fire risk in cargo holds. Power banks are NEVER allowed in checked baggage—they MUST be in your carry-on so any issue can be caught immediately.
❌ 2. Faded, Scratched, or Missing Labels
Security officers must be able to visually verify safety compliance. If the watt-hour (Wh) specs or capacity markings have rubbed off, security will confiscate it—no exceptions.
❌ 3. Requires prior approval from your airline (usually capped at 2 units).

Strictly prohibited on passenger flights.
❌ 4. Carrying Too Many Units
Even small batteries are subject to individual airline limits on total spare batteries per passenger.
