The Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Seminar-Workshop was successfully conducted last November 12–14 at Tiny Hauz Sunset Resort and GovGen Resort. Led by DOT PIA Lourdes D. Partoza, General Manager of A. PAR Travel and Tours and FBSE Regional Trainer, together with Mr. Alkid D. Hatosa, Tourism Operations Officer of DOT Regional Office XI, and Mr. Joey E. Gamao of Governor Generoso Municipal Tourism Office.

Following the recent doublet earthquake, the Culture and Arts Office, in partnership with the Provincial Engineering Office, promptly inspected heritage churches in Davao Oriental, including our very own St. Francis Xavier Parish Church, to protect our rich cultural heritage.

This crucial inspection ensures the structural integrity of these invaluable landmarks. The team meticulously assessed potential earthquake damage, demonstrating a deep commitment to preserving our ancestors' legacy and the stories held within these sacred spaces.

St. Francis Xavier Parish Church, a testament to our faith and cultural identity, stands with timeless beauty and historical significance. The inspection aims to identify necessary repairs and restoration, safeguarding this iconic structure for future generations.

We commend the Culture and Arts Office and the Provincial Engineering Office for their swift, diligent response, underscoring the importance of preserving our heritage in adversity. Together, we ensure these landmarks continue to inspire and connect us to our past.
