An early visit was conducted by Bicol University students for an interview with the Municipal Engineering Office - Guinobatan related to their study, ‘A Proposed Arboretum Park of the Albay Indigenous Trees in Guinobatan.

Patuloy pa rin ang pagbuga ng lava dome, lava flow, na may panaka-nakang mahinang "strombolian activity" at nakikita ang banaag o crater glow mula sa bulkang Mayon ayon sa pinakahuking ulat ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST) ngayong araw, ika-23 ng Enero.
Dagdag ng ahensya, nakapagtala ng 293 na volcanic earthquakes, 224 Rockfall events, at 106 Pyroclastic Density Currents o "uson" habang aabot sa 3, 059 toneladang asupre kada araw (22 Enero 2026) ang naitala.
Samantala, mahigpit pa ring ipinagbabawal ang pagpasok sa loob ng 6 km Permanent Danger Zone ng Mayon.
