The Municipality of Buenavista proudly commemorated the 128th Philippine Independence Day on June 12, 2026, at Lopez Central Park, honoring the courage, patriotism, and sacrifices of the Filipino heroes who fought for our nation's freedom.

The celebration featured wreath-laying ceremonies, patriotic performances, and a special recognition program for the outstanding individuals and groups who brought honor and pride to the Municipality of Buenavista during the recently concluded Manggahan Festival 2026 and Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) Meet 2025.

As we celebrate our hard-earned freedom, may we continue to uphold the values of unity, service, excellence, and love for country. Together, let us carry forward the legacy of our heroes and work towards a stronger and more progressive Buenavista.

Today, we celebrate National Tour Guides’ Day, observed every third Monday of June pursuant to Proclamation No. 574, recognizing the invaluable contributions of tour guides in promoting Philippine tourism, culture, history, and heritage.

As the storytellers of our destinations and ambassadors of Filipino hospitality, tour guides play a vital role in creating meaningful experiences for visitors while fostering appreciation for our nation’s rich cultural and natural treasures.
