A Meaningful Day of Learning and Discovery

Look! Our guests for today, adorable kindergarten students together with their guardians from Brgy. San Agustin, City Proper, Iloilo City, as they immersed themselves in a fun and meaningful field trip!
As part of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 celebration, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. San Agustin, headed by Hon. Mary Emilene Pabalinas, organized this wonderful literacy-focused activity to give the children an enjoyable learning experience beyond the classroom.
Their educational journey included a visit to the Museum of Philippine Maritime History, where they learned about the Philippines’ rich maritime heritage and the important role of the sea in our country’s history and culture.
They also visited the Outdoor Library, where the kids enjoyed a fun and engaging story session led by our very own CMO Tour Guide, Angel Joy.
At the National Museum of the Philippines – Iloilo, the children had the opportunity to discover more about Iloilo’s history, culture, heritage, and natural treasures through the museum’s collections and exhibits.
The group then visited the Butterfly Garden, where the children got a closer look at these beautiful creatures while learning about nature, biodiversity, and the importance of protecting our environment.
And to cap off their exciting day, the young explorers visited the newly opened playground at Jaro Plaza, where they enjoyed some well-deserved playtime, laughter, and bonding with their friends and guardians.
This activity is more than just a field trip, it is a literacy and learning program that provides children with fun, meaningful, and memorable experiences while nurturing their curiosity and love for learning.
