🇳🇿 NEW ZEALAND RANKED THE 2ND MOST PEACEFUL COUNTRY IN THE WORLD IN 2026 🌏
According to the 2026 Global Peace Index (GPI) by the Institute for Economics & Peace, New Zealand has been ranked the 2nd most peaceful country in the world, behind only Iceland.
This is something many of us can appreciate, especially those who have chosen New Zealand as a place to build a future, raise families, and pursue opportunities.
What makes this ranking interesting is that the Global Peace Index doesn’t measure only crime.
The GPI evaluates countries across 23 indicators, including:
✅ Internal safety and security
✅ Violent crime rates
✅ Political stability
✅ Military expenditure
✅ International conflicts
✅ Incarceration rates
✅ Terrorism impact
This means the ranking reflects the overall peace and stability of a nation, not just whether people feel safe walking down the street.
