How are you?

I know how hard it is for you to leave your home and face the unknown. Maybe you wonder if you will still be able to come home after today. Nevertheless, you carry your bag with you putting in there also your doubts, fears, hopes, and prayers that everything will be alright.

I understand that the news you receive every day adds up to your anxiety. They make you question your commitment to the career that you love and to the people of God that you serve. They bring us to fear as a nation. They cause us paranoia of what is to come as we battle the pandemic brought about by .

While you are at the hospital, streets, boundaries, government offices, barangays health centers, or workplaces, maybe you ask yourself if you picked the right career. Or if what you get from doing this is worth all the risk you made. There are times when you envy those who can work at home. Those families who are all together at home whose picture you see on social media, you skip not because you hate them but because you wish you could be them.

Rest assured, the prayers of those who are not in the front line, like me, go to you and the families you have left at home. Since we lack the training and technical expertise to help during this critical time, we are doing what we believe is best. We stay at home. We pray for healing and protection.

Do not give up, especially now that humanity badly needs you.

I hope that given another lifetime, you will still choose to be a hero just as you are now.
