These are expressed through ancestral songs, dances, and rituals deeply rooted in the province’s enduring identity.
Domestic tourism remains a key driver of Kalinga’s tourism growth. In 2025, the Department of Tourism–Cordillera Administrative Region (DOT-CAR) recorded 331,447 same-day visitors in the province, with 329,856 coming from local markets.
Kalinga is also a holder of two Guinness World Records—the “Largest Gong Ensemble” and “Largest Pot Dance”—achieved in 2023.

“Through strategic collaborations and unwavering commitment, we aim to position the Philippines as the central hub for cruises in Asia—where every voyage seamlessly blends breathtaking landscapes, cultural richness, and unforgettable encounters,” she added.

It may be recalled that the country hosted Seatrade Cruise Asia in November 2024, the premier gathering of global cruise leaders and decision-makers. With over 40 influential industry figures and buyers, the event provided an unparalleled platform to advance the Philippines’ vision of becoming the region’s cruise gateway.

With cruise calls like Villa Vie Odyssey and landmark industry events, the DOT is determined to propel the Philippines toward becoming a leading tourism hub in Asia, ensuring that the benefits of cruise tourism extend to communities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
