Once called home to the “worst airport in the world,” the Philippines just flipped the script—thanks to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA).
MCIA made history as the first Filipino airport to win the Platinum Green Airport Recognition 2024 from the Airports Council International, topping rivals like Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd Airport and Japan’s Chubu Centrair.
