Dahom Lagonoy Welcome to the town of Lagonoy, a new adventure in Bicol! Dahom Lagonoy (DL) is a community-driven guide to the town of Lagonoy, Camarines Sur.

Take the perfect road trip, chase waterfalls, explore our beaches and history, taste the local flavors, join our festivities, and meet the people who make Lagonoy worth discovering. We created DL to document the places, flavors, celebrations, people, and stories that make Lagonoy special—from its mountains, coastlines, rivers, and rice fields to its old churches, communities, traditions, and hidden corners across 38 barangays. Our goal is simple: to help people discover Lagonoy while encouraging a deeper appreciation for the communities that call it home. This is not just a list of places to visit, but a growing portrait of Lagonoy. DL is also for Lagonoynons who are far from home. For those who have moved away but still miss the town, its food, familiar places, and memories, DL is a way to reconnect with their roots and remember where they came from. We hope to bring a little piece of Lagonoy closer to them, wherever they may be. Dahom Lagonoy is an independent community initiative. We are not affiliated with, operated by, or connected to any political organization, politician, business entity, or the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lagonoy. We do not accept payment in exchange for promoting businesses, political personalities, candidates, or public officials. What we feature is guided by what we believe is genuinely worth discovering and sharing about Lagonoy. We explore with curiosity and share with respect. Information on DL comes from local knowledge, personal exploration, community stories, research, and available references. Our information and original materials may be used for educational, school, research, and other non-commercial projects, provided that Dahom Lagonoy is explicitly credited and the source is clearly traced back to DL. Barangay Mapid: A coastal barangay where some of Lagonoy’s most beautiful and recognizable landmarks come together. From the iconic Padi-Padi Point and the Jesus the Redeemer statue standing on its rocky shores, to the serene Putsan Beach and Mamburabod Beach, Mapid offers a different kind of beauty that many Lagonoyons can be proud of.

Barangay Kinahologan: Tucked along the eastern side of Lagonoy, Barangay Kinahologan is one of those places that many Lagonoyons know for one reason: Kinahologan Falls.

The barangay sits close to the national road, making it one of the more accessible areas in Lagonoy—and its famous falls is just a short walk from the highway. The clear, cool water has long made Kinahologan a favorite spot for locals looking for a quick swim, especially during the summer.

But Kinahologan is more than just the falls. It is a community surrounded by the natural landscape that makes eastern Lagonoy special—mountains, waterways, greenery, and the nearby Lagonoy Gulf. And because of its location along the route toward Caramoan, it has also become a natural stop for travelers passing through.

For many of us, Kinahologan Falls isn't some faraway tourist destination. It's the kind of place where you can simply say, “Musna, ma-Kinahologan kita,” grab your things, and spend the afternoon in the water with friends or family.

That simple, local experience is part of what makes Kinahologan special. And as more people discover the place, keeping the falls and its surroundings clean and cared for becomes everyone's responsibility.

Kinahologan is not just a destination. It is part of everyday Lagonoy.

The Manlapat Twin Waterfall Level 2 is one of the two twin waterfalls in the Manlapat series. From Level 1, to Level 2, then Level 3, and now the recently discovered Level 4, each level has its own character and its own beauty.

Manlapat Waterfalls in Barangay Genorangan, Sitio Tingtingon, is not just one waterfall. It is a whole series of waterfalls found across different levels of the mountain, all connected by the same water flow.

What makes Manlapat special is that something like this exists right here in Lagonoy — multiple waterfalls, tucked within the same stretch of forest, waiting to be explored.

And there may still be more of Manlapat that we have yet to discover.

Barangay Panagan: A Coastal Gem of Lagonoy

Barangay Panagan is one of Lagonoy’s coastal barangays, known for its wide shoreline, black-sand beaches, and the Panagan River that runs through the area.

One of its best-known spots is Luyang Beach, where the shore is made up of black sand, pebbles, and interesting rock formations. The coastline here is also remarkably shallow. During low tide, the water moves far away from the shore, revealing a wide stretch of sand and seabed that seems to extend deep toward the sea.

Just along this coast is the Luyang Sandbar, a long stretch of black sand that continues toward neighboring Barangay San Sebastian. When the tide is low, more of the sandbar becomes visible, making it a beautiful place to explore, take photos, or simply enjoy the view.

But Panagan isn’t just about the sea. Panagan River has recently become one of the favorite picnic and swimming spots of locals in Lagonoy. Its clear, cool water and naturally formed rock pools and formations make it a refreshing place to spend a day with family and friends.

And for those who want to explore farther inland, the river leads toward Panagan Falls, a twin waterfall hidden upstream from the barangay.

From its expansive shoreline and black-sand coast to its river, rock formations, sandbar and waterfalls, Panagan is one of those places in Lagonoy where there is always a little more to discover.

Did you know? Panagan’s shallow coastal waters can retreat a long way during low tide, revealing an expansive intertidal area along the shore.

Tucked deep within the lush landscapes of Lagonoy, Camarines Sur, Maduoy Falls has recently made waves online after photos of this hidden gem surfaced—sparking curiosity and excitement among local travelers. With its unspoiled charm and raw beauty, this newly revealed waterfall is fast becoming the latest must-see spot for adventure seekers in town.

If you trace its location on the map, you’ll notice that Maduoy Falls lies close to Barangay Agosais, as its waters flow from the Agosais River. However, getting there depends on how you want to experience it. Approaching from Barangay Agosais will lead you to the top of the waterfall, giving you a breathtaking view of where the cascade begins. On the other hand, if you want to marvel at its full height from the base, you’ll need to take a more challenging route—a hidden trail known only to locals in Barangay Genorangan.

The trek from Genorangan isn’t easy. The trail is rough, steep, and often overgrown with vegetation, a clear sign that this natural wonder hasn’t yet been touched by mass tourism. But for those willing to brave the path, the reward is worth every step—a pristine waterfall surrounded by thick forest, echoing the sound of rushing water and the calm of nature.

Maduoy Falls is one of Lagonoy’s three sister waterfalls, standing proudly alongside Bulan-ogan Falls and Gabao Falls—the tallest and most magnificent cascades in town. Each one has its own character and charm, but Maduoy’s mystery and hidden location make it special.

For now, Maduoy Falls remains a quiet sanctuary for true explorers, a reminder that even in familiar places like Lagonoy, nature still holds secrets waiting to be found.
