It’s Global World Tourism Resilience Day! ✈️

Tourism is a key engine of growth, and resilience also means managing how and where that growth happens.

According to a PIDS study, Central Visayas (Region 7) draws the largest share of foreign tourists and CALABARZON (Region 4A) leads domestic travel. This pattern raises important questions about overtourism, environmental sustainability, and the balance of tourism development across regions.

How can tourism policy promote growth while ensuring sustainability and more balanced regional development?
