Albay VG Lagman shares economic costs of having COVID-19

Albay Vice Governor Edcel Grex Lagman has shared the economic costs of having coronavirus disease 2019.

Lagman said that Patients Under Investigation (PUIs) can avail of the Isolation Package (PHP 14,000.00) under Philhealth which covers ALL Filipinos.

“This includes cost of quarantine, management and testing in level 2-3 hospitals,” he said.

“If you are initially admitted to a lower level facility, and had to be transferred to a higher level hospital, you can avail of the Referral Package worth PHP 4,000.00 for the initial management, stabilization and proper transit,” he added.

Lagman also urged his followers on social media to inform others who might need to avail these services.

“Let’s inform people you think might need this information, especially those who have less in life, with no HMOs or insurance backing them up,” said the vice governor.

As of this posting, there are 52 coronavirus disease cases in the country.
