Misibis Bay is located on the East Coast of Luzon. You can easily tell because the sun sets at the back of the beach and not in front of it.

Yes, this is the part of the Philippines that would have been affected by the tsunami from Japan. Although, if you look at the map, in the event that there's a tsunami, it would hit Rapu-Rapu Island and Batan Island first.

Misibis Bay has a good tsunami evacuation plan and, in case of emergencies like that, they will evacuate people to the eco-park, which has a higher elevation.

Misibis Bay can arrange an airport pickup for you at the airport itself or in Hotel Venezia, located inside the Renaissance Gardens near the airport. We were on a road trip, so we left our car in Hotel Venezia and arranged for our pickup at the hotel.

If you decide to go via land transfer, you'll know that you are near Cagraray Island once you see the cool solar-panel street lamps, a project of the owner of Misibis Bay.

TIP: For people going to Donsol, I suggest you book your arrangements separately from your Misibis Bay Trip. Most Donsol resorts can arrange an airport pickup for you. From Legazpi airport, go to Donsol first and arrange for a drop-off at Hotel Venezia, where the Misibis Bay Resort staff can pick you up.

Albay's neighboring province to the south, Sorsogon, is host to one of the highest concentration of Whale Sharks in the world. These creatures have been frequenting the waters off Donsol, Sorsogon for generations and in 1998, the Philippine Department of Tourism declared this area an official sanctuary for the Whale Shark, thus protected this fascinating species.

Although Whale Sharks, or "Butanding" as they are locally known, are enormous in size and power, reaching lengths greater than 15 meters, they are remarkably gentle and docile enough that it is generally safe to swim among them. Swimming among the whale sharks is a captivating experience. If you are not comfortable swimming in the waters, then it is just as amazing to experience them from the boat. The Butanding swim alongside the boat all the time.

Caramoan, Camarines Sur
Caramoan is a second-class municipality in the province of Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines. It is located at the tip of the Caramoan Peninsula, a rugged place of land extending into the waters of the Maqueda Channel on the north and east and Lagonoy Gulf on the south. Caramoan is bounded on the north by the town of Garchitorena and the Philippine Sea of the Pacific Ocean; on the northeast by the island province of Catanduanes; on the south by Lagonoy Gulf; on the east by the Maqueda Channel and on the west by the municipality of Presentacion. The municipality covers approximately 277.41 square kilometres (107.11 sq mi) with approximately 71 kilometres (44 mi) of irregular coastline surrounded by the vast ocean, bay, seas and swamps. It is approximately 500 kilometres (310 mi) from Metro Manila; 95 kilometres (59 mi) from the municipality of Pili, where the seat of the provincial government and the Naga Domestic Airport are located; and 110 kilometres (68 mi) east from Naga City, the heart of Bicol. Dubbed as the province’s ‘Hidden Paradise,” the Caramoan Peninsula has gained tourism popularity in recent years due to its rugged landscape and stunning coastal scenery. Caramoan is now listed in the National Parks of the Philippines. Popular tourist destinations in the peninsula are the Caramoan National Park, the Centro, and Gota Beach, the latter hugely popular due to its fine white sand beach. Activities for visitors include diving, swimming, snorkelling, spelunking and forest hiking. The 8th season of Koh-Lanta (French edition of Survivor), was shot entirely in Caramoan. The TV director Corinne Vaillant was reportedly impressed with Gota’s “powdery sand, the coconuts on Gota beach and the neighbouring islets,” and the lush tropical forest.

The Mayon Volcano also known as Mount Mayon, is an active strato-volcano in the province of Albay, Bicol Region, in the island of Luzon, Philippines.
Known as the perfect cone due to its almost symmetrically conical shape, the volcano forms the northern boundary of Legazpi City. Local legend refers to the volcano as Mount Magayon,

It is located in the eastern part of Luzon next to the Philippine Trench which is the convergent boundary where the mayon volcano and cagsawa ruinPhilippine Sea Plate is driven under
after the legendary heroine Daragang Magayon.
