DOST-PAGASA has released the first tropical cyclone forecast track for Tropical Depression currently located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). 🌀
According to the initial track, the center may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow morning as a tropical storm. Once inside PAR, it will be locally named — the 20th storm in the Philippines this year.
Since the storm is still outside PAR, its cone of uncertainty is huge — ranging from Bicol Region in the southeastern Luzon, Eastern Visayas to Caraga in the northeastern Mindanao.
If the current forecast trend continues, and as the models are showing today, the center of pre-TINO may make landfall between Leyte, Dinagat Islands or Surigao del Norte on Tuesday morning, November 4 as a low-end typhoon.
The forecast scenario remains subject to change.
Disclaimer: This is not a fake news. The fake news that has been called out in the past few days is the claim that this will become a "super typhoon," when it will NOT.
