If you are booking a flight from April 16 to 30, brace yourselves for possibly a huge airfare increase, depending on where you are going. The Civil Aeronautics Board has issued an interim passenger and cargo fuel surcharge for both international and domestic flights from April 16 to 30. The level was raised to level 19 from level 8!

What does this mean?

Based on news reports, the fuel surcharges at Level 19 are as follows:
Domestic flights: P627 to P1,834
Foreign flights: P2,070.77 to P15,397.15

Network Adjustments Due to Middle East Crisis

March 23, 2026

Cebu Pacific (CEB) will implement temporary network adjustments, including frequency reductions and flight cancellations, in response to the Middle East crisis.

These changes are driven by the impact of the crisis on global fuel prices, which have more than doubled compared with 2025 averages.

We understand that these changes may disrupt travel plans, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Affected passengers have been informed and provided with the following options through the Manage Booking portal on the CEB website https://www.cebupacificair.com/manage-booking:

1. Free Rebooking

Rebook your flight without fare difference subject to availability up to 30 days before or after your original flight.

2. Travel Fund

Instantly convert the value of your fare to Travel Fund, which you can use for future trips. The Travel Fund stored in the MyCebuPacific account does not expire and can be used to book for anyone.

3. Refund

Request a refund of your fare. Processing time depends on your form of payment.

CEB is proactively taking measures to ensure stable and sustainable operations. These network adjustments have been carefully implemented to address the current impact, with the rest of our network expected to operate as scheduled.

We encourage customers to keep their contact details updated via the CEB website or mobile app, and to check CEB’s social media channels for the latest advisories.

Manila-Chongqing ✈️

LOOK: CHINESE EMBASSY ANNOUNCES CHONGQING-MANILA DIRECT FLIGHTS

The Chinese embassy in the Philippines announced that Air China will launch direct flights between Chongqing and Manila starting May 1. The route will operate four times weekly.

Flight CA481 from Chongqing to Manila will depart at 21:00 and arrive at 00:50+ local time on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Flight CA482 from Manila to Chongqing will depart at 01:50 and arrive at 05:40 local time on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The embassy said the route will provide easier access for travelers from Southwest China to Manila and other Philippine destinations such as Boracay and Cebu, while also opening a direct gateway for Filipino travelers to explore Chongqing and other parts of Western China.
