𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗟 – August 9, 2025 – Much of South Korea is set to experience cloudy skies and scattered rainfall today, as the tail end of the summer monsoon continues to influence the peninsula’s weather patterns.
In Seoul, the day began under overcast conditions, with light showers forecast between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Daytime temperatures are expected to peak at 27 °C (80 °F) before cooling to 23 °C (73 °F) overnight.

Further south in Busan, the morning started cloudy but rain is expected to begin around 2:00 PM and persist into the late evening. The port city will see a high of 27 °C (80 °F) and an overnight low of 21 °C (70 °F).

August remains one of South Korea’s wettest months, with average highs between 25–30 °C and significant humidity. While the monsoon season officially peaks in July, lingering atmospheric effects in August often bring intermittent rainfall, particularly along the southern and coastal regions.

Authorities advise residents and travelers to carry umbrellas and rain gear, plan for possible transportation delays, and consider indoor activities during peak rain hours.
