Blue Horizons Travel & Tours is an internationally owned and managed travel agency and tour operator, established in 1981. Blue Horizons Travel & Tours has two operating divisions:

The Inbound Division is the ground handler in the Philippines for some of the biggest tour wholesalers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Its services cover sightseeing, packaged tours and roundtrips, domestic air reservations and ticketing, car and coach rentals, multi-lingual tour guides, study tours, congress and conventions and "Inspired Incentives", a collection of incentive travel programs and events specially designed for corporate winners and top producers. The Outbound Division, which is IATA accredited, provides comprehensive international travel services to corporate and institutional clients. These travel services include a cutting-edge reservation system, automated ticketing, travel management, itinerary planning, documentation and ground arrangements worldwide for leisure or business travelers. Blue Horizons was voted "Best Travel Agency in the Philippines" in 2004, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2017 by the readers of TTG Asia Magazine.

It is in dying that we are born again, and as we commemorate All Saints' and All Souls' Day, we honor our dearly departed for the life they have lived. May their souls rest in peace.

Every October, the Philippines celebrates the National Indigenous Peoples’ months, allowing for the recognition, promotion, and protection of communities, and for their culture to flourish. Being a culturally-diverse country, the Philippines is home to 10 million and more individuals belonging and identifying as an indigenous people. This month, we also honor them as our forebearers, upholding their culture and traditions.

Located in the highland area of Janiuay, the Panay Bukidnon indigenous community in Brgy. Quipot are people that may be gentle in nature, but are truly titans in their craft as they are rich in culture, tradition, and artistry. Their home is surrounded by the Suage and Magapa Rivers which support their livelihoods focused on agriculture such as rice, corn, and sugar production. This community is also proud of their heritage in Bamboo Weaving, and its weavers are called “Manugrara,” or an artisan who handcrafts practical household tools from woven bamboo strips. This heritage craft is now being passed on to the younger generation in the hopes of maintaining and protecting a part of their culture. This month, we also honor them as our forebearers, upholding their culture and traditions.

The Panay Bukidnon also known as the Tumandok, is an indigenous community which calls the Barangay Panuran in Lambunao, Iloilo their home. The barangay is located in an upland portion of Lambunao, and are proud makers of the Patadyong (a traditional garb of the Panay Bukidnons), Panubok (a hand-embroidery art of the community), and crafts made from bamboo, nito, rattan and coconut shells. The Tamundoks in Brgy. Panuran is also one of the mountain villages and indigenous communities in Iloilo that has a School of Living Traditions–allowing for their cultural practices such as crafts, music, and rituals to be preserved and to be passed on to the younger generation. This year, the theme is centered on the digital agenda and artificial intelligence to redesign tourism. With travel companies using AI for creating personalized itineraries and generating visuals for destination previews, the tourism industry is seeing a rise of personalized digital assistants or AI agents that function as travel companions. Popular tourist cities are also using smart city initiatives to track tourist movements which helps in managing tourist flow. In terms of human resources, AI causes both positive and negative impacts for employment opportunities. Technical and analytical roles are in-demand and management roles are also in-demand due to need for strategic leadership in digital transformation. Because AI relies on popular online data, it risks worsening overtourism by mainlining mainstream destinations unless users explicitly request sustainable options. AI should serve as a starting point rather than the final decision-maker.

Concurrently, travel companies leverage AI—including voice platforms, flight disruption reporting, and expense automation—to drive operational efficiency, streamline customer service, and personalize traveler communications.

Ultimately, while AI is fundamentally reshaping tourism operations and customer interactions, responsible travel still depends on human judgment to balance efficiency with sustainable choices.
