Our Story
Preserving our local heritage, culture and way of life for the new generation to be reminded of their past and be proud of their roots. The living museum is presenting the Malay farming community as authentic as possible like travelling back in time as you enter the place. It is the pride of Motagnons and all Malaynons to able to share our traditions to local visitors and foreign tourists visiting the island of Boracay.
The creator Nenette Aguirre- Graf, was the village chief for 9 years or 3 terms (unopposed) made sure that this livelihood project be another attraction of Malay and province to Aklan to those who wanted to know the LOCALS or native way of life before tourism in Boracay.
The performers are the traditional farmers of Motag, acting as themselves, not really knowing that what they do is something never been done in the Philippines yet, making it the first interactive living museum in the country.
Come and visit us the next time you go to Boracay and looking for new experience beyond the beach and adventures! See you after COVID 19!
