🍜 Kuala Lumpur Food Crawl: October 2–5, 2025 🇲🇾
Just touched down in KL a little early, so I kicked off my trip with a breakfast feast at Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam—a local legend. Their signature Kaya toast, paired with soft-boiled eggs, kopi, and dim sum, was the perfect welcome bite. A nostalgic start to a delicious journey.
🌃 Bukit Bintang Night Market Madness
Spent an entire evening soaking in the chaos and charm of Bukit Bintang’s night market. From sizzling grills to sweet treats, here were the standouts:
• 🥥 Putu Piring Jalan Japor – Original Gipa Melaka style, soft and fragrant
• 🍜 Me Tarik Lamb Ramen – Rich, bold, and slurp-worthy
• 🥯 Roujiamo – Crispy bun stuffed with juicy minced meat
☀️ Day Two: Breakfast & Beyond
Started strong at Hainan Kafei Dan, a local favorite. My picks:
• 🥟 Dim sum
• ☕ Kopi C Kaya
• 🍳 Nasi Goreng
Evening highlight: a cultural bite at Made by China Museum Moon—their Chinese roti carries 1200 years of culinary legacy.
🌕 Sweet Endings & Surprises
• 🍮 Kwan Kee Store Dessert – A Michelin Guide gem, paired with Chagee tea. Heavenly.
• 🍛 Oriental Kopi – Tried their special tea, chicken curry, and yes, even Cebdol durian. As a non-durian eater, I was shocked—it was actually amazing.
🥙 Final Feast
Dinner was a fusion dream:
• 🌯 Damascus Kebab
• 🫖 Kung Fu Panda Tea
• 🍪 Jipinhe Scones
Every bite was a story, every sip a memory. KL’s food scene is a whirlwind of flavors, cultures, and surprises. Can’t wait to go back for round two!
