Camiguin is one of the Philippine's most beautiful islands, a virtual paradise, as the island allows visitors to experience a sample of untouched beauty in its entirety. and unfazed by the virulent pressures of today's accelerated lifestyles. It's surprising to know that the island has more volcanoes than its municipalties, that's why it's dubbed as the Island Born of Fire. History of the Office:
Founded in 1999 the Camiguin Tourism Office, under the direction of the then Dir. Catalino Echavez Chan III, formally became separated from the Provincial Governor's Office. Chan III became the Regional Director of the Department of Tourism - Region 10 making Ms. In 2006, Ms. Candice Naomi L. Borromeo was formally appointed as the new Provincial Tourism Officer of this office up to the present time.

As part of Isle Dive Camiguin 2026, divers from DENR Camiguin, BFAR Region 10, PCG Region 10, PNP Maritime Group, LGU Mambajao, DOT Region 10, and local dive operators joined forces for a Crown-of-Thorns Starfish (COTS) removal activity at White Island, on August 12, 2026.

Through this collective effort, 387 COTS were removed, helping safeguard Camiguinโ€™s vibrant coral reefs and rich marine life, ensuring a healthier and more sustainable diving destination for generations of visitors to enjoy.
