𝐒𝐀 𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐒 𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐎𝐕 𝐄𝐃:
𝚂𝚒𝚝𝚎 𝙸𝚍𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚏𝚒𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 & 𝙰𝚜𝚜𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝

Masayang sinimulan ang unang hakbang para maisakatuparan ang Oksimin Mountain Sign at Welcome Arch ng Abra De Ilog!

Mula sa Provincial Government, dumating ang Focal Person for Tourism Development na si Gng. Ma. Lucia A. Bico, kasama si Ark. Godfrey De Joya mula sa PEO, upang makipagpulong sa mga lokal na opisyal sa Municipal Hall at tuklasin ang mga posibleng lokasyon para sa proyektong magpapaigting sa turismo ng bayan.

Unang nakapanayam si G. Allan E. Sangalang – Assessment Clerk, kung saan natalakay ang plano sa Identification of Sites at Assessment — kabilang ang pag-verify kung may pribadong may-ari sa lugar, mga posibleng negosasyon, at mga susunod na hakbang para sa konstruksyon.

Nakausap din sina Engr. Romar B. Iniego – Municipal Assessor / Waterworks, at Kgg. Mayor Gloria M. Constantino, na buong siglang nagpahayag ng suporta at pananabik sa proyekto.

Kasama rin sa paglibot sina Bb. Laicka Implamado Cortuna – Tourism Operations Officer 1 at G. Emerito R. Cristalino – MPDC, na tumulong maghanap ng pinakamainam na lugar para sa mga bagong palatandaan ng bayan.

Darating ang panahon na mas makikilala at mapapansin hindi lamang ang Abra De Ilog kundi pati ang buong Occidental Mindoro. Ang proyektong ito ay magbibigay ng magandang unang impresyon sa mga turistang daraan sa pangunahing point of entry ng lalawigan patungo sa iba’t ibang LGU. Makatutulong ito upang mas dumami ang bumibisita, mapaunlad ang turismo, at pasiglahin ang lokal na ekonomiya sa iba’t ibang bayan.

The Department of Tourism (DOT), under the leadership of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, in partnership with the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), proudly opens the second cycle of the Tourism Champions Challenge (TCC), a nationwide infrastructure competition designed to empower LGUs with visionary projects that strengthen local tourism.

Submit your proposal for sustainable, inclusive, and resilient tourism infrastructure and stand a chance to be part of the top 21 LGUs awarded with funding and development support.

Deadline for submission: October 15, 2025

𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐊: Sa bisa ng Executive Order No. 33, Series of 2025, na nilagdaan ni Governor Ed Gadiano ngayong araw, suspendido ang klase sa lahat ng antas sa pampubliko at pribadong paaralan, gayundin ang pasok sa lahat ng Local at National Government offices sa buong Lalawigan ng Occidental Mindoro bukas, July 24, 2025.

Ang kautusang ito ay bilang tugon sa patuloy na epekto ng southwest monsoon o habagat na pinatindi pa ng Bagyong Dante at Tropical Depression Emong.

Magpapatuloy naman sa paghahatid serbisyo ang mga tanggapang may kinalaman sa basic at health services, gayundin sa disaster preparedness and response.

Ang pagsuspinde naman ng pasok sa mga pribadong kumpanya at opisina ay nakadepende sa desisyon ng mga namumuno nito.

Muli pong paalala sa publiko na maging mapagmatyag at mag-ingat lalo na sa mga nakatira sa baybaying-dagat at bulubundukin upang makaiwas sa anumang uri ng sakuna.
