Manila is the birthplace of the Katipunan, the revolutionary society that spearheaded the Filipinos' struggle for freedom in 1896. Yet the valiant society's trace in the capital city seems to have been buried in oblivion.
In line with the 133rd anniversary of the foundation of Katipunan, let us undust the steps of our patriots and re-ignite the spirit of revolution.
Join us in Katipunan in Manila and revisit the sites that shaped the Katipunan and the Philippine Revolution in 1896.
Assembly will be at the Kartilya ng Katipunan at the front of City Hall.
The itinerary is as follows;
Roman Ongpin Monument across Binondo Church
Andres Bonifacio Birthplace Across Tutuban Mall
