Last week on April 5, 2025โFEU Guides, together with our Artistic Director, Mr. Ivan Man Dy, visited the National Museum of Fine Arts. The tour was conducted by Mr. Louie Martinez, one of the tour guides of the National Museum.
The National Museum of Fine Arts contains a collection of various cultural heritages in the Philippines. It houses countless paintings with subjects ranging from Philippine history to artworks inspired by the values of the Filipinos. One notable artwork is the Spolarium by the Filipino National Artist for Visual Arts, Juan Luna, in 1884.
Amidst the tour, it highlighted renowned national artists for sculpture, such as Napoleon Abueva and Guillermo Tolentino, and for painting, Carlos "Botong" Francisco, Vicente Manansala, and more.
The FEU Guides were able to witness and hear the stories behind the artworks of different artists, immersing themselves in the rich tapestry of art, culture, and history.
