San Miguel Corporation (SMC) is set to take over the operations of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) starting today, September 14, 2024.

There are some terminal reassignments aimed at decongesting the country's main gateway. The new NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC) general manager announced:

- Terminal 1: Exclusive to Philippine Airlines (PAL)
- Terminal 2: Will serve domestic flights for PAL and Cebu Pacific
- Terminal 3: Will accommodate international carriers
- Terminal 4: Will be for AirAsia flights.

A global outage affecting Microsoft services has been confirmed by our partner, Navitaire. This outage is causing unexpected rebooting of machines, leading to some operational disruptions related to check-in processes, self check-in kiosks, and navigating the AirAsia MOVE app. Microsoft is currently investigating the issue and has escalated the matter internally while also seeking external assistance to manage the situation effectively.

Additional Cancelled Flights Following Technical Disruption
As of July 19, 2024; 8:30 PM

After experiencing technical issues, related to technology partners of Navitaire (Microsoft and CrowdStrike) which caused a global system outage, here are additional Cebu Pacific flights that are cancelled:

For July 19:
5J 759: Manila – Jakarta
5J 751: Manila – Ho Chi Minh
5J 746: Manila – Hanoi

For July 20:
5J 760: Jakarta – Manila
5J 752: Ho Chi Minh – Manila
5J 747: Hanoi – Manila

Affected passengers have been informed via email and provided with the following options through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website https://www.cebupacificair.com/manage-booking:

1. Free Rebooking

Rebook without fare difference for travel up to thirty (30) days from original flight date. The fare difference will apply if the travel period is beyond thirty (30) days from the original flight date.

2. Travel Fund

Store the amount in a virtual CEB wallet and use this to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons (example: baggage allowance, seat selection, etc.)

3. Refund

Full refund of your ticket.

Cebu Pacific is also offering flexible options, which include free rebooking and travel fund, to passengers who wish to postpone their flights scheduled up to July 21, 2024. They may avail themselves of these options through the Manage Booking portal of the CEB website https://www.cebupacificair.com/manage-booking up to two (2) hours before their scheduled time of departure.

This is a developing situation, and some flight changes may take place in the coming days. Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights via https://www.cebupacificair.com/flight-status.

To reduce congestion, affected passengers are also advised not to proceed to the airport at this time.
