Poseidon MKVI/SE7EN Tec CCR Launch Program
Poseidon Diving Systems will be hosting a program for Poseidon Rebreather Instructor Trainers who are also Tec CCR Instructors to become Poseidon MKVI/SE7EN Tec CCR Instructors and Trainers (dependent upon experience).
The courses will be run by PADI Designated Instructor Trainer and Technical Field Consultant, Martin Robson, who has been instrumental in the development and launch of PADI’s rebreather and tec CCR range.
You will need to have copies of all required PADI materials and bring or hire all required equipment.
Diluent and oxygen cylinders are available to rent from the training location.
Poseidon Philippines have kindly offered to coordinate the hire of Bailout Cylinders for the group.
For Tec 40 equipment requirements please check the standards for the course.
We will be able to accommodate requests, work around any issues that might prevent you otherwise from joining and try our best to fit as many of you as possible onto the course.
Please message me for additional information for the course. This is a once in a lifetime chance and we need a minimum of but not limited to 4 people to join in the course.

We would like to invite you and your friends to participate in the Anilao Underwater (UW) Photo Competition Festival on December 4-8, 2013 at the Acacia Resort and Dive Center in Anilao, Batangas. This event is being organized by the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT) in cooperation with the Philippine-based Underwater Macro Photographers Group.
We are expecting around a hundred participants (UW macro photographers and fun divers), from Korea, China, Japan and the Middle East, among others. The event will showcase the Philippines as an excellent macro photography destination. It will also provide significant media mileage to the country with the arrival of five (5) internationally renowned UW photographers, who will grace the event as resource persons for the seminars and take part in the judging of the competition. We are sending you a background of the project and competition mechanics for your information.

PARTICIPANT BENEFITS

Anilao participating resorts will be offering special packages for participants ranging from US$400-US$580 for the duration of the event (5-Days/4-Nights with fullboard meals, 8-9 dives total). The US$20 registration shall cover the free 3-day dive pass, registration kit (badge, event shirt, DOT token) and 2 dinners with entertainment for the welcome (Dec. 4) and awarding ceremonies (Dec. 8). We shall also be providing transfers to and from the NAIA airport for Dec. 3 & 4 arrivals and Dec. 8 & 9 departures. PADI Revised Rebreather Instructor Prerequisites and Recreational Rebreather Course Standards


PADI has revised their PADI Rebreather Instructor

Prerequisites and Recreational Rebreather Course Standards, making it easier to become a PADI Recreational Rebreather Instructor and Diver!

New PADI Rebreather Instructor Prerequisites:

Now instructors only need to cover 30 dives and 30 hours on the Poseidon MKVI prior to attending a PADI Rebreather Instructor Course (Previously 75 dives and 50 hours).
New PADI Recreational Rebreather Diver Course Standards:
Minimum of 440 minutes of dive time is changed to a minimum of 320 minutes of dive time during the course
Minimum of 7 dives is changed to a minimum of 4 dives during the course

This is a huge improvement for all instructors and dealers who want to join the Rebreather Revolution!

NEW DEEP DIVE WORLD RECORD

December 8th, 2012 at Island of Cozumel, Quintana Roo Mexico Leo Morales set the new deep dive world record 410 ft deep, 125 meters, running time 144 min. Open circuit with gas mixes of helium, oxygen and nitrogen

The Mexican Federation of Underwater Activities A.C. (FMAS), an active member of the International Olympic Committee and the Mexican Sports Confederation and the Mexican Olympic Committee through their national courts endorsed the national and World record. Internationally, the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) founded by Jack Ives Cousteau gave their endorsement to the underwater global record.
At the record level, Guinness has all the technical information to endorse the record and to record it in the book world.

In the entire history of technical diving, there has never been such an event, due to technical reasons related to the complexity involved in making an underwater World record for people with disabilities.
Now imagine how difficult it can be to complete such a feat, diving and swimming underwater with a single fin, by carrying a weight that even if underwater decreases its impact, it still keeps the challenge unique worldwide.

It is an example of the good that can be done by having consistency, discipline and devotion. Above all, Leo Morales is eager to show to the World that nothing is impossible, that every man or woman with disabilities can achieve anything, just by using tenacity, having knowledge of the subject and by the love and passion for the underwater world.

LEO MORALES, GENERAL INFORMATION: Bachelor of Business Administration, 38 years old, married, professional diver. Leo is a high performance athlete, who lost his right leg due to cancer.
