Oman Air and SalamAir, are providing essential support to stranded passengers in the UAE through a new bus transfer service from Sharjah to Muscat. Running from March 3 to 5, the service departs daily from Al Jubail Bus Station. This initiative ensures that travellers can reach Muscat International Airport to catch flights to India and other destinations, bridging the gap for those affected by current travel challenges.

PASSENGER ADVISORY

Travel to and from the Middle East

Passengers with scheduled flights at NAIA to or from Middle East destinations are advised to check their flight status before proceeding to the airport.

Due to precautionary airspace restrictions in some parts of the region, flights may be delayed, rerouted, or canceled at short notice, depending on airline operations.

Passengers are encouraged to contact their airline directly for the latest updates, confirm their booking before travel, and ensure their contact details are updated to receive notifications.

Families and friends meeting arriving passengers are likewise advised to verify arrival times with the airline before heading to the airport, as schedules may change.

New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) continues to coordinate closely with airlines and aviation authorities to ensure safe and orderly operations.

ADVISORY: TERMINAL UPDATE

As part of ongoing efforts to optimize terminal capacity and improve passenger movement at NAIA, the following airline terminal changes will be implemented:

Effective March 29, 2026
From Terminal 1 to Terminal 3
- Air China (CA)
- China Eastern (MU)
- Vietnam Airlines (VN)
- Royal Brunei (BI)
- Shenzhen Airlines (ZH)

From Terminal 3 to Terminal 1
- Philippines AirAsia (Z2) – International flights only
- AirAsia Berhad (AK)

Effective April 1, 2026
From Terminal 1 to Terminal 3
- Japan Airlines (JL)

Passengers are advised to verify their terminal assignment with their airline prior to travel.

Heads up, travelers! Security personnel at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are no longer allowed to touch passengers' passports.

In an official statement, NAIA announced that security staff are now prohibited from handling passports, following a report of a traveler being denied boarding due to minor passport damage.
