📢 Important Visa Update!

Starting September 2, most visa categories will no longer qualify for an interview waiver — except B1/B2 (business/tourism) and official visas. Additionally, in-person interviews will now be required for nonimmigrant applicants under 14 and over 79 years old.

If your visa category will no longer be eligible for an interview waiver, make sure to mail or drop off your application at our offsite Visa Application Center by August 22. This ensures the U.S. Embassy has enough time to process your application before the new policy takes effect.

PLANNING TO VISIT JAPAN SOON? 🇯🇵🌸

The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines announced on Wednesday the opening of the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC) which will begin accepting and processing visa applications on April 7, 2025.

The center managed by VFS Service Philippines Inc. has five locations nationwide including Parañaque City, Makati City, Quezon City, Cebu City, and Davao City where Filipinos can apply. An online appointment system was also launched on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

The visa processing will involve both a visa fee and a center usage fee of P520, although costs may differ depending on nationality and application type.

Accredited agencies will no longer be accepting visa applications after April 6, 2025. From April 7, 2025 onwards, all submissions must go through the JVAC, but those who applied through accredited agencies before the cutoff will still collect their passports from the same agencies.
