Guo Jiakun, China’s foreign ministry spokesperson, has confirmed China is extending its visa waiver policy to include UK and Canadian citizens.

From February 17, people from the two countries will be exempt from needing a visa to enter China and stay for up to 30 days for business, tourism, family and friends visits.

The policy will remain in place until December 31, 2026.
