A colourful seaside icon near Melbourne! 🌈🏖️ The famous Brighton Bathing Boxes line the shores of Dendy Street Beach, just about 30 minutes from Melbourne CBD.

These iconic beach huts date back to the late 19th century, with the first bathing boxes built in the 1860s. They were originally constructed as simple and private beach shelters where families and beachgoers could change into their swimming attire, store beach and swimming equipment, and relax away from the sun and wind.

Today, the Brighton Bathing Boxes are heritage-listed and remain one of Victoria’s most photographed coastal landmarks. Each box has its own colourful design and personality, creating a spectacular line of colour against the beautiful waters of Port Phillip Bay. 🌊🎨📸

🚋✨ Riding Through Melbourne’s History on Tram 981! 🇦🇺

A special ride aboard Tram 981, a beautifully preserved W6-class heritage tram built at Preston Workshops on 14 July 1953—more than 73 years of Melbourne tramway history!

At around 14.2 metres long, with its distinctive drop-centre design and classic green-and-gold livery, Tram 981 is a wonderful piece of Melbourne’s transport heritage. After extensive restoration, this historic tram continues to give passengers a glimpse of what travelling through Melbourne was like generations ago.

Melbourne is home to the world’s largest operational tram network, with more than 250 kilometres of track connecting the city and suburbs. 🚋

From the unmistakable ding-ding and the gentle movement of the tram to Melbourne’s historic streets, laneways and iconic cityscape—this was more than just a tram ride.

It was a ride through Melbourne’s living history. ❤️🚋✨
