The travel tax is required to be paid by Filipino citizens, resident aliens, and non-immigrant aliens who have stayed in the country for more than one year.

You can pay travel tax online, in TIEZA satellite offices nationwide, or at airport counters. Most airlines include it in the airfare as well. Terminal fees, meanwhile, are already included in the airline ticket upon purchase.

TIEZA encourages all passengers to use its Online Travel Tax Services prior to their flight for a hassle-free travel experience.

This is in line with the Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) upcoming launch of the Harmonized Electronic Licensing and Permit Systems (HELPS), an innovative platform designed to streamline the issuance of travel permits for minors traveling abroad.

This effort aims to reduce, if not eliminate, instances of minor passengers being offloaded due to the lack of a DSWD-issued travel clearance. Please inform you respective clients about this.

✈️ NEW ONLINE PROCESS: Travel Clearance for Filipino Minors Going Abroad without parents! 🇵🇭🌍

The shift to an online system for securing a DSWD Travel Clearance for Minors makes the process more convenient for out of town parents BUT it also comes with a higher fee and new steps to follow.

Key Points about the new Online Process:

✅ Parents/Guardians must sign up at

✅ Prepare scanned copies of all required documents ahead of time so its faster to upload

✅ New fee: ₱800 (previously ₱300)

✅ Online interview required (Parent + Minor + Traveling Companion) through Zoom or Google Meet

✅ Processing time: 3–5 days (as of today)
