Did you know that you could find one of the National Museum of the Philippines’ Important Cultural Property just along Escolta? 🇵🇭✨

The Comtrust Building, now home to Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), reflects a time when Escolta was the city’s financial center in the 1970s. Designed by Filipino architect José María Zaragoza, the building features brutalist architecture and a semi-dome exterior.

Take a closer look next time you pass by. 👀

A vintage landmark that still works as hard as the city 🏛️

The Uy Chaco Building, completed in 1914, was one of Manila’s first modern office towers. Located at the foot of Jones Bridge, its Art Nouveau design and iconic dome have watched over the city for more than a century.

Damaged in 1945 but never lost, the building continues its journey today, now under Philtrust Bank. Buhay pa rin ang history sa bawat sulok. ✨

From manning the kitchens to the people who keep our streets clean, Manila runs on the stories and hard work of those who live and labor here. 💙

Also known as Araw ng mga Manggagawa, Labor Day is a time to celebrate and appreciate our workers. Take a moment today to thank the everyday heroes who keep the city moving behind the scenes. 🙌✨

Hidden side of Manila 👀

Just behind the Manila Metropolitan Theater, the Arroceros Forest Park offers a quiet third space in the middle of the city. Students gather for school practice, friends hang out, and families take a break from the busy streets.

Tahimik, simple, at buhay na buhay ang kwento sa likod ng lungsod.
