𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐋𝐎 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐇 𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐋𝐀𝐆𝐀 𝐃𝐀𝐖 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐊𝐈 𝐓𝐀 𝐊𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐃 𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆

The activity aims to select Manolo Fortich’s representatives who will showcase the municipality’s Indigenous culture, heritage, and advocacy for the conservation of the Mt. Kitanglad Range Natural Park. The annual celebration provides a platform for Indigenous communities surrounding Mt. Kitanglad to share their culture and environmental advocacies.

We are looking for one Laga (Female) and one Malaki (Male) who will proudly represent our municipality and showcase our culture, heritage, confidence, and love for Mt. Kitanglad.


QUALIFICATIONS

• 16–27 years old on the date of the competition
• Filipino citizen
• Single and never married
• Must not have borne or fathered a child
• No criminal record
• Physically fit and of good moral character
• Well-versed in the Binukid language
• No height requirement

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤. (If no qualified candidate is available from the covered barangays, the LGU may endorse a candidate who can sufficiently prove roots, ancestry, or direct lineage from any of the Kitanglad Range barangays.)

Manolo Fortich Garners Multiple Awards at Provincial Tourism Week

MALAYBALAY CITY | September 18, 2026 — The Municipality of Manolo Fortich and its partner stakeholders received multiple recognitions during the 18th Provincial Tourism Week and Culture and the Arts Week – Pagdayaw: A Night of Tourism, Culture and Arts.

Manolo Fortich was recognized as Tourism Statistics Top Data Provider and Top Digital Tourism Promoter, while the Banog-Banog Festival placed 2nd in Best Cultural Festival for the second consecutive year.

Partner stakeholders were also honored as Tourism Icons: Del Monte for Agriculture, Alomah’s Place and Nature Farm for Agri-Tourism, and Wilmar Sumohoy for the Arts.

The awards were received by Municipal Tourism Officer Jixon Cloyd R. Abanes, on behalf of Hon. Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño.

Manolo Fortich, last year’s Tourism Champion, also formally turned over the distinction to the Municipality of Impasugong, this year’s Tourism Champion.

As part of the 4th Municipal Tourism Week Celebration, the Municipal Government of Manolo Fortich, through the Municipal Tourism Office, invites local cooks, families, food enthusiasts, groups, and food establishments to join the MANOLO FORTICH COOKFEST 2026 – PAMANA: Heirloom Recipes.

This Cookfest is more than a cooking competition. PAMANA celebrates recipes handed down from one generation to another the dishes prepared by our grandparents, parents, families, and communities that carry stories of home, tradition, and Manolo Fortich. The activity aims to preserve these recipes and recognize food as an important part of our local identity, culture, and heritage.

📅 September 29, 2026
🕙 1:00PM** – 4:00PM**
📍 Old Municipal Building, Tankulan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon

The competition is open to individuals, families, groups, and representatives of establishments from Manolo Fortich, with 1–3 members per team. Only 10 teams will be accepted.

Your entry may be a traditional Filipino dish, local specialty, snack, dessert, or other food preparation connected to your family or community. Participants are encouraged to use locally produced ingredients and, most importantly, to share the story behind the recipe where it came from, who passed it down, and why it remains meaningful to your family or community.

To register, please complete this form and provide an active contact number. You will also be asked to briefly describe your proposed dish and the story behind your heirloom recipe.
