🕰️ ALAM MO BA?

Hindi lang basta “oras” ang tawag ng ating mga ninuno sa bawat yugto ng maghapon. Sa wikang Filipino, may mga katutubong salitang naglalarawan sa paglalakbay ng panahon—mula hatinggabi hanggang sa pagsapit ng gabi.

Ang bawat salita ay patunay na malalim at makulay ang ating wika sa paglalarawan ng panahon. Bago pa man maging bahagi ng ating araw-araw ang orasan, minamasdan na ng ating mga ninuno ang liwanag ng araw, galaw ng kalangitan, at pagbabago ng paligid upang tukuyin kung anong oras na.

Sa paggunita ng Buwan ng Wika, balikan natin ang mga salitang nagsisilbing salamin ng ating kultura at paraan ng pamumuhay. Dahil ang wika ay hindi lamang ginagamit upang magsalita—ito rin ay paraan ng pag-alala kung paano tayo namuhay noon.

Matapos ang mga nagdaang pag-ulan, nagkaisa ang Montalban Mountain Tourist Guides para linisin, ayusin, at inspeksyunin ang mga trail—tinitiyak na maayos at ligtas nang muling buksan sa mga turista. 🥾🌱

Hindi lang ito simpleng clean-up. Isa itong patunay na ang pangangalaga at paghahanda ay bahagi ng responsableng turismo. Sa bawat maayos at ligtas na trail, mas nagiging magandang experience ang pagbisita, mas napapanatili ang tourism activities, at mas nabibigyan ng pagkakataong makabalik ang mga turista at local communities. 💚

At syempre, Pinoy bayanihan hits different. 🇵🇭 Kapag may kailangang ayusin, sama-sama tayong kumikilos. Kapag may kailangang bumangon, sama-sama rin.

𝗡𝗖𝗖𝗔 – Montalban Cultural Mapping Project
𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡 𝗡𝗚 𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗭 (𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗕𝗔𝗡): Puso ng Pamahalaan at Kasaysayan ng Bayan

Ang Gusaling Pambayan ng Rodriguez (Montalban), na matatagpuan sa J.P. Rizal Street, Barangay Balite, ay isa sa mga mahahalagang pamanang estruktura ng bayan. Sa loob ng mahigit isang siglo, nagsilbi itong sentro ng pamamahala, paghahatid ng serbisyo publiko, at mga mahahalagang pagpapasya na humubog sa kasaysayan at pag-unlad ng Montalban.

Itinayo noong 1910 sa panahon ng panunungkulan ni Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Sr., ang gusali ay orihinal na may dalawang palapag na yari sa kahoy at kongkretong pundasyon. Nasalanta ito noong Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig nang masunog at mabomba sa panahon ng pananakop ng mga Hapones. Mula noon, ilang ulit itong isinailalim sa rehabilitasyon at pagpapalawak sa pangunguna ng iba't ibang naging punong-bayan upang matugunan ang lumalaking pangangailangan ng pamahalaan at mamamayan.

Higit pa sa pagiging tanggapan ng lokal na pamahalaan, ang Gusaling Pambayan ay naging saksi sa mahahalagang yugto ng kasaysayan ng Rodriguez—mula sa pananakop, muling pagbangon pagkatapos ng digmaan, hanggang sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng bayan. Hanggang sa kasalukuyan, nananatili itong simbolo ng matatag na pamamahala, pagkakaisa, at paglilingkod sa bawat Montalbeño.

Sa pamamagitan ng Municipal Cultural Mapping Project, patuloy na pinangangalagaan at itinatampok ng Tanggapan ng Turismo at Ugnayang Pang-Kultura ang mga pamanang tulad ng Gusaling Pambayan ng Rodriguez (Montalban) bilang mahalagang bahagi ng kasaysayan, pamahalaan, at pagkakakilanlang kultural ng Bayan ng Montalban.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF NATURE AND ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES IN MONTALBAN until further notice due to the threat posed by Tropical Storm “Maymay” (Kujira).

In the interest of public safety and upon the recommendation of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and approval from the MDRRMC chaired by our Local Chief Executive - Hon. Ronnie S. Evangelista through the Municipal Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department (MTCAD) announces the temporary suspension of all nature- and adventure-based tourism activities in the Municipality of Rodriguez (Montalban), Rizal, effective tonight dated August 5, 2026 - Wednesday, until further notice due to the potential effects of Tropical Storm "MAYMAY" (Kujira)

This includes trekking, hiking, camping, caving, river activities, waterfalls, and other outdoor tourism and adventure activities.

The safety and well-being of our residents, visitors, tourism workers, and stakeholders remain our highest priority. We encourage everyone to monitor official weather advisories and strictly follow the directives of local authorities.
