Leave No Trace Principles

Trail Etiquette & Responsibility

BMC teaches you to be self-reliant, responsible, and courteous to others.

โœ… Preparedness

โธป

โธป

BMC isnโ€™t just a requirement. Itโ€™s an investment in your safety, your teamโ€™s safety, and the mountains you love. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐ŸŒฑ

๐‹๐ž๐š๐ฏ๐ž ๐๐จ ๐“๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ž (LNT) 7 Principles
-are a set of guidelines for minimizing human impact on the natural environment, particularly in outdoor recreational areas.

Principle number 1, and the most BASIC:

Why Is It Important To Plan Ahead And Prepare?

It helps ensure the safety of groups and individuals.

It prepares you to Leave No Trace and minimizes resource damage.

It contributes to accomplishing trip goals safely and enjoyably.

It increases self-confidence and opportunities for learning more about nature.

Hosting an Organized Climb/Tour is never easy.

For our Co-Organizers and coordinators,
We are responsible for the lives of those people who choose and trusted us. Take it seriously. Lalo kumikita tayo dito.

For the hikers/Joiners, do your own research and ask questions sa mga GCs. What to expect, proper attire, doโ€™s and dontโ€™s. In case thereโ€™s a bad weather before your climb, decide on your own, di ka na bata na naghihintay pa ng cancellation ng klase.

Adventurous and being reckless are two different things.

Outdoor activities are fun.
But what if accident happens?
Well thatโ€™s another topic. ๐Ÿ™‚

Climb Safe and Responsibly.

As we enter the rainy and typhoon season, we feel it's important to address a few realities and set clear expectations โ€” not just for your safety, but for the fairness and integrity of our shared journey.

Planning and organizing exclusive tours and events is not as simple as it looks. What may seem like just a few arrangements on the surface actually takes days, weeks, and sometimes months of preparation, coordination, and personal investment. Behind every event are sleepless nights, sudden changes, financial risks, and countless sacrifices made by organizers who are doing their best to make the experience smooth and memorable for everyone.

We understand that cancellations can be disappointing. You save up, you get excited, you prepare. But when weather conditions change and safety is compromised, we are left with a difficult decision: whether to proceed or to postpone for everyone's well-being. And while we try to make the best possible choices, we ask that you also understand the weight of that responsibility.

This is not just about shifting a date. It means re-coordinating with drivers, venues, suppliers, and permits. It means taking a financial hit, re-aligning schedules, and facing questions we may not yet have answers to. Sometimes, we also adjust or cancel events based on official tourism advisories, which may restrict access to certain destinations or discourage non-essential travel due to safety risks. These are decisions beyond our control โ€” but ones we must respect and respond to.

We donโ€™t cancel lightly. We cancel because we value lives over plans.

We also want to remind everyone that, upon booking, terms and conditions were provided โ€” including policies for down payments, back-outs, and cancellations due to force majeure such as typhoons. These policies are not designed to take advantage of anyone, but to ensure that the efforts, time, and resources already poured into the event are protected. These guidelines are part of responsible organizing โ€” and part of responsible joining.

We know not everyone sees the behind-the-scenes. You may not see the long hours, the money paid upfront, or the problems solved quietly in the background. But itโ€™s there โ€” and itโ€™s real. Weโ€™re not just organizers; we are also risk-takers who put in not only work but heart.

So we ask for patience. We ask for empathy. And most of all, we ask for respect โ€” for the process, for the risks taken, and for the people working tirelessly behind the scenes.

We love what we do. We love creating moments that turn into memories. But letโ€™s remember: no event, no destination, no plan is worth more than safety. Letโ€™s choose care over convenience, and letโ€™s continue to move forward together โ€” even if that means sometimes, we have to pause.

In the end, this isnโ€™t just about trips. Itโ€™s about trust. Itโ€™s about choosing kindness in times of uncertainty. And itโ€™s about walking through the storms โ€” together โ€” with the hope that, once the skies clear, the journey will be even more meaningful than we imagined.
