The Naawan Tourism Office, in partnership with professors from the academe of Mindanao State University at Naawan, joins the National Training on History, Heritage, and Culture: Decolonization for Sustainable Development in celebration of the National Culture and Heritage Month.

The training is being held on May 21–22, 2026, in the Municipality of Llanera, Nueva Ecija is spearheaded by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts bringing together local government leaders, cultural workers, historians, and advocates committed to strengthening Filipino identity through the preservation of history, heritage, and culture toward sustainable development.

This activity is relevant to the development of the Local Cultural Mapping of the Municipality of Naawan as it strengthens knowledge, strategies, and approaches in documenting, preserving, and promoting the municipality’s rich cultural heritage for sustainable development.

Adrenaline, style, and excitement took over the streets as riders showcased their skills and passion during the “Where Surf Meets the Street” Surfskating Competition — one of the thrilling highlights of the 3rd Wahig Festival Celebration!
