Official Statement of the Naga City Tour Guides

The Naga City Tour Guides organization strongly condemns the recent incident that occurred at Mt. Isarog Natural Park. Acts of harassment and any form of misconduct have no place in our profession, our community, or in any tourism destination.

We also would like to clarify that the individual involved is not a member of the Naga City Tour Guides and is affiliated with a different organization. But while this distinction is a must, we believe that as one tourism community, we have a shared responsibility of upholding the highest standards of professionalism, respect, and accountability.

We fully support the actions and initiatives of the Naga City Tourism Office, the City Government of Naga, and all concerned agencies in ensuring justice for the victim, strengthening safety measures, and reinforcing ethical standards among tourism stakeholders.

As tour guides, our role goes beyond sharing the rich history, culture, and stories of Naga City. Our foremost responsibility is the safety, security, and well-being of every visitor entrusted to our care. We remain committed to providing a safe, respectful, and welcoming experience for all tourists and will continue to work hand in hand with our partners to uphold the integrity of our tourism industry.

Together, let us continue building a tourism community founded on professionalism, respect, and the safety of every traveler.
