Dumaguete city in Negros Orintal island based in the south part of Philippines called Visayas region. Dumaguete is the capital city of the island with a pier and domestic airport to Cebu city and Manila. The city is called the city of gentle people. From here it is easy to reach Siquijor, Apo island, Cebu island (visible on the picture) Panglao, Bohol or Mindanao. The city is located under a not active vulcano with famous hot springs. Theses buses are called here killer buses. Very fast and very buang (crazy). The most dangerous thing on them is that once they hit you they will try to kill you. Reason? A burial is cheaper then to put you in the hospital so be careful on the roads in Philippines and think at least twice whats your next action on the roads

Apo Island is a volcanic island covering 74 hectares in land area, 7 kilometers off the southeastern tip of Negros Island and 30 kilometers south of the Negros Oriental capital of Dumaguete in the Philippines. In current use, the word "Apo" is a Filipino word for "grandchild" but formerly the word carried the meaning of "respected ancestor"; by suggestion a "chieftain".
