Historical Background
Upholding awareness that development in tourism can generate income, the Committee Chairman of the Sangguniang Bayan, Coun. Legaspi, had decided to focus in culminating this idea. He formed a group composing of the Vice-Chairman, Coun. Mendoza along with the President/Chairman of the Cultural Heritage of Bulacan, Mr. Jimmy Corpuz, Sanggunian Bayan Secretary, Merlita M. Macat
angay , two (2) other members of SB, Coun. Pascual, and the representative of the Office of the Mayor to Provincial Tourism Council, Ms. Cora Camacho. Through the blessing of an Ordinance as approved by SB members, the creation of the Tourism Development Council, a.k.a. NCHAT, was then established, the Municipal Mayor holding the chairmanship. After conducting series of meetings, it was realized that the participation of the Committee on Education, chaired by Coun. Saplala, would share significant views, so the same was included among the list of the members of the Group. Other newly appointed members of the Core Group were Ex-Coun. Maricar SP.
