JUST IN: Effective 01 March 2025, the use and charging of power banks and spare lithium batteries will be prohibited during EVA Airways Corp. 長榮航空 flights to ensure safety. Passengers are advised to fully charge their personal electronic devices before boarding, while most airplane seats offer AC power outlets and USB (Type A) ports. Power banks and spare lithium batteries remain prohibited in checked baggage and must be carried in carry-on bags, and properly stored to prevent damage.

EVA Air prohibits the use and charging of power banks during flights effective March 1, 2025.

Passengers advised to fully charge devices before boarding as the Taiwanese carrier joins other Asian airlines in tightening portable battery regulations following safety concerns.

Cebu Pacific’s Manila-Sapporo route is the airline’s longest narrow-body flight, operated by the 186-seat Airbus A320neo.

The Manila-Sapporo leg (5J-5128) takes 5 hours and 10 minutes, while the return (5J-5129) is slightly longer at 5 hours and 55 minutes due to strong headwinds heading south.

The budget airline now flies thrice weekly to Hokkaido's capital.
