Festivals in Romblon 🎭
1. Biniray Festival is Romblon's esteemed celebration taken an interest by Rombloanon every second week of January out of appreciation for Señor Santo Niño. It is only equivalent to the Sinulog Celebration of Cebu which likewise portrays the solid faith of the residents to Roman Catholicism.
The celebration highlights moving and exercises that makes each individuals' faith to their patron saint every minute. It is decorated with beautiful structures and outfits which captures the heart of the locals and international tourist.
2. Talabukon Festival 🎭
This is a religious celebration the municipality of Looc is known for, which is held during the 3rd week of April to honor St. Joseph and to celebrate a genie who was stated to once save the town folks. During the town fiesta, there will be a street-dancing contest that is participated by almost all the barangays. Through artistic choreography, display of dancing skills, props and colorful costumes, the replica of Talabukon and the field demonstration (re-enactment of the myth) are the categories of the competition. When you join this festival, take note of the Tribu Poblacion, Barangay Punta (Tribu Pontana) and Tribu Cadag-cadag. These are the 3 tribes to watch, as they always dominate the festival.
📍How to get there:
To get from Manila to Tablas Island, you can choose between a voyage on one of the many ferries from Pier 12 or the Batangas Port or a domestic flight from the Manila. For the latter, you can fly from the Manila Domestic Airport, which is located close to the International Airport, on one of the two airlines that fly 6 times a week to the Tugdan Airport on Tablas Island, Romblon. From there, it will just be easy to get to Looc.
3. Saginyogan Festival 🍌
The Coco-Banana Festival was initially organized and presented in 2010 town fiesta. The presentation was participated in by the pupils from the different schools in the district of Alcantara. The presentation was in a form of a contest. However, the 2011 Fiesta Management thought of changing its title to Saginyogan Festival to make it common and striking to the community people; making the title different from other municipalities in the province having the same festival.
Making Saginyogan Festival as one of the important events or highlights during the fiesta and if promoted properly could bolster tourism in Alcantara in the days to come because of its significance and artistic attraction.

Tablas Airport is the gateway to the province by plane. Airphil Express and Sea Air have a regular fly from Manila to the airport located in the Municipality of Alcantara, Romblon. From there, as part of the services offered by the Airport, they put a van going to Odiongan. Travel time would be less than 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Batiano Port is also the gateway to Odiongan. From Manila: any Provincial Bus Stations going to Batangas Port, Batangas City, go to Terminal 3. In Terminal 3, you can see various ticketing outlets, and in every window, there is a location displayed, so just select the correct one. I suggest you take Montenegro Lines; they have schedules every 4PM every day. Travel time would be 8 to 10 hours. When you reach the port, just go to the gate and then take tricycle (just tell the driver to bring you to any resorts nearby.) Drivers are hospitable too, they will take you to the best resort.
