May 17, 2026-- Hiyas sang Katagman 2026 Maria Erin E. Tajanlangit proudly represented the Municipality of Oton at the Sagala of Festival Queens held at SM City Iloilo, together with festival queens from across Western Visayas.

The event celebrated Ilonggo beauty, artistry, and grace, while showcasing stunning gowns created by talented local designers and creatives from the region.

Maria Erinโ€™s participation was made possible through the support of the Local Government Unit of Oton headed by Mayor Sofronio L. Fusin Jr., through the Oton Tourism Office.

The Sagala of Festival Queens is part of the weeklong celebration of the 26th Fiestas in the City, mounted by the Province of Iloilo, SM City Iloilo, and participating LGUs across the province.

The recently concluded Katagman Festival is a proud heritage of Oton town in southern Iloilo. Cultural gems banner the celebration, upholding Ogtonganonโ€™s legacy while paying tribute to Otonโ€™s 454th founding anniversary as the first and oldest pueblo in Panay. Central to its theme, โ€œIpabugal ang Bulawan nga Tamung Manggad sang Oton: Manggad sang Nasyon,โ€ marks Otonโ€™s cultural treasures as lasting contribution and badge of honor of the community and nation.
