Meanwhile, Tropical Storm {MUN} is still being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

UPDATE: As of 8 a.m., the low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a “high” potential to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA.

Due to the LPA's close proximity to the landmass, hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) #1 is possible along the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon as soon as it develops into a tropical depression, the weather bureau added.

Meanwhile, the tropical depression is being monitored outside PAR.

Moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Occidental Mindoro (Paluan) and Palawan (Agutaya) within the next 1 to 2 hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in Occidental Mindoro (Lubang), Palawan (Busuanga and Coron) which may persist within 1 to 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.
