Today, September 27, Catanduanes joins the global tourism community in celebrating World Tourism Day 2026, recognizing the people, communities, enterprises, and destinations that make tourism a meaningful part of our shared journey.

This year’s theme, “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism,” highlights the continuing transformation of the tourism industry and the opportunities brought by technology and innovation. As Catanduanes moves forward, these developments provide new ways to promote our destinations, improve visitor experiences, strengthen tourism services, and connect the Happy Island with more people around the world.

Yet, at the heart of tourism remains the people who welcome our visitors, preserve our heritage, share our stories, create memorable experiences, and help make every journey to Catanduanes worthwhile.

On this World Tourism Day, we celebrate the growing tourism community of the Happy Island and the collective efforts that continue to shape Catanduanes as a destination.

𝐏𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐃𝐘𝐀𝐖 𝐒𝐀 𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐎 | 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄-𝐖𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍!

September 22, 2026 | The Provincial Tourism Office of Catanduanes convened the Municipal Tourism Officers and their respective municipal choreographers today for a coordination meeting on the preparations for Padadyaw sa Tinampo, one of the highlights of the upcoming 81st Catanduanes Foundation Anniversary.

A key part of the meeting was the presentation and discussion of the Pantomina Catanduanes Literature, delivered by Ms. Ma. Chatita Lorenzana, Dance Researcher of Pantomina Catanduanes. The discussion provided the participating municipalities with a deeper understanding of the dance literature, including its cultural and traditional elements, which will guide the preparation and presentation of Padadyaw sa Tinampo.

The meeting also served as an opportunity to align the participating municipalities on the preparations, presentation, and other considerations toward a unified province-wide performance that reflects Catanduanes’ shared cultural heritage and identity.

Adding significance to this year’s celebration is the 100% participation of all 11 municipalities of Catanduanes in Padadyaw sa Tinampo. For the first time, the entire province comes together in one cultural presentation, bringing together communities from across Catanduanes through a shared expression of dance and heritage.

With all 11 municipalities taking part, Padadyaw sa Tinampo is shaping up to be one of the events to look forward to in the 81st Catanduanes Foundation Anniversary, carrying this year’s theme, “Catanduanes @ 81: Honoring Our Heritage Towards New Horizons.”

𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

A day of fellowship, fun, and family!

In connection with the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), the Local Government Unit of Panganiban successfully held its LGU Family Day on September 3, 2026 at Oliver’s Riff Mamangal Beach Resort, Virac, Catanduanes.

The celebration brought together our dedicated LGU officials and employees for a well-deserved day of relaxation, camaraderie, and meaningful bonding outside the workplace.

Beyond our duties and responsibilities in serving the people of Panganiban, occasions like this remind us of the importance of teamwork, friendship, and family. It was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our relationships, create happy memories, and celebrate the people who make our local government a stronger and more united team.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part in making this Family Day a memorable and enjoyable celebration. May the spirit of unity, fellowship, and public service continue to inspire us as we work together for the betterment of our beloved Municipality of Panganiban.

This September, the Provincial Tourism Office of Catanduanes joins the celebration of 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, recognizing the vital role of tourism in connecting communities, creating opportunities, preserving heritage, and showcasing the beauty and character of destinations across the country.

By virtue of Proclamation No. 894, September is observed as 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀—an opportunity to celebrate the people, places, culture, and experiences that make every journey meaningful.

Here in the Happy Island, we celebrate tourism through the stories of our people, the richness of our culture and heritage, the flavors of our local cuisine, and the natural treasures that continue to draw visitors to our shores.

This 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, let us continue to discover, appreciate, and share the many reasons to love Catanduanes. More than a destination, the Happy Island is a place where every visit creates a story worth remembering.
