PUBLIC ADVISORY: TRAFFIC RE-ROUTING FOR TRIATHLON EVENT

DATE: Sunday, May 10, 2026
TIME: 6:00 AM – 12:00 NN

RACE ROUTE: Modala Beach Resort (Doljo) to Panglao-Dauis Boundary via the Central Highway.

To ensure the safety of athletes and the convenience of parishioners attending the Sunday Holy Mass at St. Augustine Parish Church, the following traffic scheme will be strictly implemented:

I. MAJOR ROAD CLOSURE
Dauis-Panglao Road (Central Highway): This road will be CLOSED to all motorized vehicles from the boundary of Dauis up to Modala Beach Resort in Brgy. Doljo to accommodate the bike and run legs of the race.

II. ALTERNATE ROUTES (RE-ROUTING)
PRIMARY DETOUR: All vehicles traveling between Dauis and Panglao MUST use the Anos Fonacier Circumferential Road (Coastal Road).

FROM DOLJO/LOOC: Residents heading to the town center should use interior barangay roads to exit toward the Circumferential Road.
FROM DAUIS/BINGAG: Use the coastal road (via Totolan/Songculan) to enter Panglao from the southern side.

III. ACCESS TO ST. AUGUSTINE PARISH CHURCH
ENTRANCE: Access to the church is strictly via the Back Entrance (Sea Side). Drivers should approach the Poblacion from the Circumferential Road intersection near San Agustin Academy.

EXIT: Vehicles exiting the church area are encouraged to head toward the Panglao Port and the area at the back of the Church leading to the Circumferential road to avoid congestion at the town plaza.

PROHIBITED ACCESS: The main highway gates of the church and the intersection at the Municipal Hall will be closed to vehicle traffic.

IV. PARKING AND PEDESTRIAN REMINDERS
PARKING: Please park your vehicles at the Panglao Town Plaza or designated areas near the San Agustin Academy. No parking is allowed along the Dauis-Panglao Highway.

CROSSING: Pedestrians crossing the race route to reach the church must follow the instructions of deputized traffic marshals or Traffic Enforcers. Crossing is only permitted during safe gaps between athletes.

V. ADVISORY FOR PARISHIONERS
6:30 AM Mass: Arrive no later than 5:45 AM.

8:30 AM & 10:00 AM Mass: Please allow an additional 20-30 minutes of travel time due to the longer coastal detour.
