📍 Abihao Point
Is located at Baras, Catanduanes. It offers the same commanding view you get in nearby Balacay Point. The grass is greener and the ravines not too steep. Some say Binurong's gorgeous hills and cliffs are very well comparable with the ones in Batanes, or even Ireland. Many counters there's no need for that comparison; Point Binurong really has its own beauty and charm. This landmark is a true nature's masterpiece and worth visiting. 📍St. John the Baptist Church
was created in 1830 and finished in 1883. It is situated in the town proper. It was built on the site of the first cross planted in Catanduanes to mark the grave of an Augustinian friar, Diego de Herrerra. Herrerra died there in 1576.
A century old, the church is made of stone and is one of the oldest churches in the province. It was built in the spirit of “Bayanihan” by the natives who toiled like ants until each brick adhered together. It also had a legendary bell that warned the Batonhons of incoming Japanese guerillas during the Second World War. (Jhaypee Guia)
📍Mangrove Eco-Park
The centerpiece of the Batalay Mangrove Eco Park is a long, man-made bamboo footbridge that takes visitors deep into the mangrove forest. It has also other features like a watchtower wherein you can have 360 degrees view of the mangroves, and floating cottages where you can take a seat and relax. The area has a great tourism potential for kayaking, boat ride, and picnics. Thus, Batalay Mangrove Eco Park is considered as one of the major attractions in Bato. 📍Bote Lighthouse
situated in Brgy. Bote in the town of Bato, the Bote Lighthouse gives you an astonishing view of Sakahon Beach and other parts of the island and gives you a glimpse of Mayon Volcano from afar. It is a 30-45-minute climb/trek from Sakahon Beach.
It is tiring when you climb up to the Bote Lighthouse, but you will feel satisfied when you are already at the top witnessing the scenic view of the pacific and other places in the province.

📍 Amenia Beach
Located at Palawig in San Andres Catanduanes, Amenia Beach is another one to look out for! Known to be one of the most developed beaches in Catanduanes, the beach is also perfect for diving, swimming, and just strolling at its cream-colored sand while viewing its pristine and calm water.
📍Talisoy Beach
You can also visit the nearby Talisoy Beach. Just 20 minutes away from Virac downtown lies Talisoy beach – yet another gem in Catanduanes. Also known as Tampad Beach, this beach is known to house the “Jesus’ face” rock formation. The area is also a turtle sanctuary. Other things to do in here aside from sight-seeing include swimming, overnight camping, and prayer offering.
📍Twin Rock Beach Resort
Found in Barangay Igang, the Twin Rock beach, made with almost white and fine sand and surrounded with incredible rock formation is also one of the developed beaches in Catanduanes worthy of a visit. This semi-circular beach is great for morning walks, and available huts for resting or just chilling. There’s also a beach resort called Catanduanes Twin Rock Beach Resort which is just located right in front of the beach. The resort features a freshwater pool, an al fresco restaurant, 3-star accommodation, and other facilities.

📍 Palumbanes Island
The Palumbanes Islands, also known locally as Parumpong or Parongpong, comprise three islets that can be reached by boat from the shoreline of Caramoran (not to be mistaken for Caramoan, Camarines Sur, which is also in the Bicol Region). After an hour in the water, visitors first pass by Calabagio Island. Its verdant hills and rock formations make for perfect photographs; unfortunately, its rocky shores make it impossible to dock on this small piece of paradise. 📍 Carorian Wonders
Carorian is a small barangay in the town of Bato. Fringed by spectacular rock formations and amazing marine life, Carorian is my newest favourite spot in the Happy Island. Tour operations just started very recently, and the local government is very much into it. From Virac, Brgy. Carorian is about an hour away, driving through concrete highways except for a short part that was under construction during our visit. Boats and food can be arranged.

Museo de Catanduanes was inaugurated on October 24, 2011.

It is the 8th radar station mounted in the country with fundings from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

📍Boto ni Kurakog
Bagamanoc is a trekker’s haven with its hiking trails across hilly pasture lands and ends in pockets of beaches. The town’s most recognizable natural feature is Ilihan islet which is more popularly known as “Boto ni Kurakog” because of its phallic-shaped rock formation. The subject of many old wives’ tales, it is said that Kurakog was a giant whose body was washed away by the waves after a deep slumber and it was only the protruding five-meter rock column, which remained.
Across it is a limestone rock which has a shapely crevice dubbed as “Buri ni Kalarab” and whose origin is as intriguing as Kurakog’s legend.
